Forwards is a platformer where you can't see your character.  Traverse through an open world filled with traps and surprises while using rocks, crates, and even the rain to your advantage.

Created for the GMTK Game Jam with the theme "GENRE but you can't MECHANIC".

Controls: Up, Down, Left, Right to move. Spacebar to jump. If you ever get stuck, you can press the 'K' button to respawn to the previous checkpoint (Full Screen recommended).

Loading might take a minute or two. Please be patient!

Known bugs as of submission: There might be times when you can get stuck on platform edges due to weird collisions. If you ever get stuck, you can press "K" to respawn to the last checkpoint. Sorry about that.

I speedran this game a couple times and I love it. It's so interesting to use different method to find where you are. From simply the particles that follow you to having very good eye sight to notice yourself in the rain. Gj on making such a unique game <3.

I love this game, and would love to see a longer variant of it. I've also tried speedrunning it. It is really fun!

I LOVED the game ! I breakes all the notions that we learned with classical games, it's really great ! I wish it was i little longer, and that we could exprerience new things with that, but it's still good ! Great job, really .w. Maybe one of my fav plateform game

Easily one of my favorites of the jam so far. It feels freaky at first, but as soon as you feel like you're getting the hang of it, everything changes! It does a great job of keeping the gameplay fresh through the runtime, but I might have hit a bug at the end. Really solid work!

Sorry about the bug, it usually happens when the player gets stuck inside a platform when falling really fast. A workaround for whenever you get stuck is to press 'K' to respawn to the nearest checkpoint. I'll update the game with various bugfixes when the voiting period ends. Thanks for playing and awesome video!

Really cool idea! I was having somewhat similar but not that the character is entirely invisible. Play testing in early development must be quite difficult

I had the same idea for a game and love how you approach it. It's super creative, I really love it!

Aww thanks a lot!
